Governor’s flag order for the state Capitol building in Richmond
This is to order that the flags of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia are to be flown at half-staff over the state Capitol building in respect and memory of United States Navy Lieutenant Brendan J. Looney, United States Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer David B. McLendon, United States Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Adam O. Smith, and United States Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Denis C. Miranda. I hereby order that the flags shall be lowered at sunrise on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, and remain at half-staff until sunset.
Ordered on this the 5th day of October, 2010.

Be it further encouraged that the flags of the United States of America and the Commonwealth of Virginia may be flown at half-staff on all local, state, and federal buildings and grounds in the City of Virginia Beach in respect and memory of United States Navy Lieutenant Brendan J. Looney, United States Navy Senior Chief Petty Officer David B. McLendon, United States Navy Petty Officer 2nd Class Adam O. Smith, and United States Navy Petty Officer 3rd Class Denis C. Miranda. I hereby authorize that the flags may be lowered at sunrise on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, and remain at half-staff until sunset.
