Brother needs help - Please read

Post by krnl »

I received this email today and posting here in hopes that a few folks can help our brother out. Please read below.

Subject: Donation Request

Hello everyone!

I am forwarding this request on as it came up suddenly and the family of
this Chief could use some assistance. If you are able to help out or pass on
to your respective Mess, that would be great. ADC Brad Dick is collecting
the donations to help out where needed.
Brad can be reached at 301-757-9042.

Address in case anyone can send is:

HX-21 Hangar 111
22755 Saufley Rd.
Patuxent River, MD 20670
ATTN: Chief's Mess

Checks can be made out to Mike Presley.

Please pass on to anyone missed.

V/R Chris Manning

It is with a sad and heavy heart that I have to pass on to you that
Mike "Elvis" Presley his niece from Florida who was staying with him for the
summer passed on last evening. She was only 16 years old and it was
unforeseen and very tragic. Mike is the Command Enlisted Leader at HX-21 and
his wife Theresa works at the Fleet and Family service center. Both of them
volunteer about once every two weeks at the Goat Locker. The other sad part
of the story is her parents have fallen on hard times and had no insurance
for her so Mike is coming out of pocket on everything transportation and the
funeral. I am asking the CPO mess and all the retired "old salts" out there
to come together and pitch in and help out a fellow brother in need. A
donation jar is placed at the goat locker and I will be more than happy to
collect any funds from personal gifts to general mess donations. Mike is
hands down one of the most caring and eager to help a true "Sailors Chief"
and he deserves every red cent of support from his brothers and sisters.
Please call if anyone has any questions. I will at the goat locker most of
the day on the 14th and I work on the night of the 15th. Donations will be
carried out through the weekend I plan on giving Mike the donations on
