I wanted to take a moment to wish all of my brothers and sisters a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. For those of you still active, thank you for all you do. Please stay safe. For those of you retired as I am, thank you for being there when your country needed you. I hope all have a fantast...

Happy Thanksgiving

I would like to wish all my brothers and sisters a Very Happy Thanksgiving. At the Lowell household, we've decided this year to invite over 30 Sailors and old Shipmates who are away from family this year to enjoy a day of rest and relaxation. I hope that you all think of our shipmates that cannot be...

JUST TO LIGHTEN UP THE DAY.....

The old Navy Chief finally retired and got that chicken ranch he always wanted. He took with him his life-long pet parrot. First morning at 0430, the parrot squawked loudly and said, "Reveille, Reveille. All hands Heave out and trice up. The smoking lamp is lighted, now Reveille." The old ...

Re: New wording needed for CPO License Plate [POLL]

Rick, If I could revote, Jim and the gang would be correct. "Ask the Chief" has been in stone forever. I won't pull out from the plate, but I was interested in the beginning because of where It came from. The pride I still feel when I'm talking to my retired brothers and sisters about our ...

Re: New wording needed for CPO License Plate [POLL]

I'll have to go with Navy Chief, Navy Pride, although I do consider myself to have been initiated and PROUD of it. Politics is getting ridiculous at best. Fred

CPO LICENSE PLATES!!!!

Email this to anyone you know, don't know, could know, should know. I was embarrassed when I saw an older lady yesterday driving in Hampton Roads with a Butterfly License Plate. I stopped and talked to her, she gave me the same story, she had to get so many people that wanted the plate, she opened a...

Re: Fallen soldiers - Allow media coverage of their return?

We all know that our fellow brothers and sisters pay the ultimate sacrifice, it's what we do. But, don't show this on television, this is the fa...

Re: Economic bust creates recruiting boom

The numbers here look great, however, I've been in the recruiting field some years ago and it was numbers, numbers, numbers.. I certainly hope we have come full circle on that and realized that quality recruits work far better than quantity recruits.. Just a thought

Re: Post now - get a free Navy Chief Magnet!

I'd be proud to put one of the magnets on the back of my new truck. Retired PNC here but wish I could go back. I've been out there and some of the ship's need some administrative "help". Happy New Year to all my fellow brothers and sisters.. Fred
