Good afternoon. On behalf of the U.S. Navy Memorial, attached is a letter that announces next year - 2012 as "YEAR OF THE CHIEF." Every year a Navy Community have the opportunity to display their community throughout Navy Memorial. In 2012, the CPO Community will have that opportunity and Navy Memorial needs our support in getting the word out. MCPON(Ret) Jim Herdt and Mrs. Cindy Collins-McCalip are at the helm of this great initiative which will bring more awareness to our CPO Community that will be displayed starting 1 April 2012 - CPO Birthday. Please disseminate this to CPO Messes in your AOR. Thanks for your continued support.
