I was contacted by Kent Sterett - a descendant of the namesake of USS STERETT (DDG-104). He had seen this website and liked the Chief magnets that I was giving away. He asked if I would be willing to provide magnets to him so that he could give them to the members of the CPO Mess onboard Sterett.

I told him that I would be happy to do so. I only had 22 of the magnets left, so I boxed them up and sent them to him (in the mail on Monday, 08 Sep 08). He said that he would be giving them to the CPO Mess and that he wants to continue giving small tokens of thanks to the crew members of USS Sterett. He wants to ensure that the crew knows that someone cares about what they're doing for our country.

Kent continued on to let me know that he plans to continue providing similar tokens to the crew throughout the life of USS Sterett. He is looking for ideas of things that he can give to the crew for Christmas and other holidays. If you have any ideas, or have been involved in similar evolutions please let me know so I can pass the information on to Mr. Sterett.
